What to expect when you apply
When you apply via e-mail you will receive confirmation of receipt within 48 hours. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are only able to contact candidates that have been selected for interview. However, once you have registered your CV with us it is added to our database, which we search every time we start recruiting for a role.

Minimum entry requirement
Our minimum entry requirement is GCSE Maths and English Language Grade C or work experience relevant to the role you are applying for. If you do not meet either of these requirements you must pass our entry level literacy and numeracy tests.

What to expect from the Recruitment Process
Once you have applied, the recruitment process varies depending on the role. Candidates are assessed using a variety of methods and may include any of the following: Aptitude Testing
Aptitude tests measure your ability to acquire further knowledge or skills in a specific area. These tests can be paper or PC based and will assess some of the following areas: Personality Questionnaire
The personality questionnaire is designed to assess your typical or preferred behaviour in the workplace. We would usually ask you to complete this online prior to attending a competency-based interview. Interviews
Telephone
We often use this method to interview applicants for telephone-based roles. It gives us an indication of how you communicate on the telephone. We may also conduct first interviews by telephone for applicants who would have a long distance to travel to IFDS.

Face to face
Our interviews are competency based and look at the key skills and competencies you will need to do the job. You will normally meet at least one line manager plus a member of the HR team.

Additional Exercises
For some roles we use exercises such as role-play, presentations, in-tray or group exercises. These will be relevant to the role you have applied for and you will always have time to prepare.

Assessment Centre
An assessment centre may comprise of some or all of the above selection methods. If you are invited to an Assessment Centre you will be provided with a full itinerary of what the day will consist of and given plenty of notice so that you can prepare.

What happens when the process is over?
The length of the recruitment process varies depending on the role but we will keep in touch with you throughout the process so that you are fully informed of how your application is progressing. If your application is unsuccessful you will be advised in writing and we are happy to give constructive feedback to all unsuccessful applicants on request.
